a Seven-day-old seedlings of melon cultivars were inoculated with Fusarium oxysporum f. sp. melonis (FOM) GR. The inoculated plants were incubated in a dew chamber at 25°C for 24 hours and then transferred to a growth room at 25°C with 12-hour light a day. After 3 weeks, disease severity of the seedling was investigated on a scale of 0-4.
b Seedlings of melon cultivars were uprooted and the roots were washed gently in water. And then the plants were inoculated with FOM GR by dipping the roots in inoculum suspensions of 1×106 conidia/ml and 1×107 conidia/ml for 30 minutes and were transplanted into 40-cell plastic trays.
