The full term of copyright is assigned to The Korean Society of the Plant Pathology for all journals submitted to Research in Plant Disease, and all the rights and privileges related to publication are transferred to the Society.

All journals and relevant data published in Research in Plant Disease may not be forged, modified, or plagiarized, in whole or in part, and may not be reproduced or distributed without the approval of the Society.

If the journal is distributed, in whole or in part, for noncommercial use, Research in Plant Disease must be cited for reference and regulations of Research Ethics Committee are as follows.

Article 1 (Basis) Research Ethics Committee (hereinafter referred to as the Committee) is established to deal with issues that might arise in serving the business objective specified in Article 4 of the Society bylaws.

Article 2 (Objective) This Committee covers ethical issues involved with research and publication for members of this Society.

Article 3 (Composition) This Committee is composed of one chairperson and of the members of the Committee.

Article 4 (Election of committee members) The presidentelect is also the chairperson of this Committee. The committee members are appointed by the chairperson and management, academic and editorial chairpersons of the Society become ex officio.

Article 5 (Term) The members of this Committee serves one year terms and they may be reappointed.

Article 6 (Review procedures) If presented with convincing evidence of dual publication, fragmentation, plagiarism, fabrication or theft of intellectual property in journals published by the Society, the committee meeting will be held immediately for investigation.

Article 7 (Disciplinary measures) If evidence becomes available that Article 6 of the regulation has been breached, publication of corresponding manuscript is immediately canceled and all authors, including the corresponding author, are banned from any publication in all journals published by the Society for the next three years.

Article 8 (Post-investigation procedures) The investigation results of the committee meeting must be notified for immediate disciplinary measures and reported to standing committee and board of directors.

Article 9 (Operational Regulations) Detailed operational regulations are established independently for smooth management of this Committee.

Article 10 (Research Ethics education) The members of this Committee serve regularly to promote best practices and research ethics eduation for editors and authors of The Plant Pathology Journal.

Article 11 (Other) Other issues that are not specified in this regulation abide by the decisions made by board members of the Society which conform with Ethics Code of Science Technology set forth by the Korean Federation of Science Technology Societies. For the policies on the research and publication ethics not stated in this instructions, International standards for editors and authors (https://publicationethics.org/resources/international-standards-for-editors-and-authors) can be applied.

(Attachment) This regulation shall take effect from 1 September 2007.
